andhra recipes are rarely seen ,tasted and experieced outside AP,unlike dishes from other states in India.even a big city like Mumbai does not have an Andhra restaurant.people here really do not what they are missing..your site is a boon to food lovers all over..keep it strong and running………

  12. Ritesh June 14, 2007

Great initiative. Love the pictures too, keep it up.

  13. cc johnson mumbai June 15, 2007

    Rajji……. what about non/veg recipes………just a thought..

  14. anusharaji June 15, 2007

@rithesh thx a lot. you got a cool blog. i miss mine :(
@cc johnson mumbai thx a lot for lovely comments.
Till now i have no idea abt what you said abt andhra restaurants in mumbai.
but s tamil recipes or other south indian restaurant count surely is more than andhra ones.
btw i dont eat N/V. so dont cook it. may be in future… if am short of veg. recipes

  15. cc johnson mumbai June 18, 2007

what i meant was, that there are no” exclusive” restaurants in Mumbai that serve only Andhra dishes.Earlier(20 years back)there was one named “ANDHRA LEAF” at Lamington Road but it shut shop very early….God knows why…..probably because it came in just too early…..by the way……. where do u operate”TALIMPU” from???

  16. anusharaji June 18, 2007

    philadelphia :)

  17. Chetana June 22, 2007

Thanks for all the good words about my blog Raji! I wish my blog is worth those words. So you don’t use flash? then how do you get that lighting? Do you use a tripod and longer exposure with other sources of light? I love your pictures and your equipment. Good luck!

  21. Ajay Reddy July 31, 2007

    Hi Anusha,
Amazing site, recipes and pictures! It’s 11.20am here and i’m getting really hungry after going through the site. I cook too (i hate eating frozen food) but nothing which looks so delicious. I’m sure the pictures are only an understatement of the taste itself!
P.S - Can you start a small section of easy-to-cook recipes (or maybe link some of the existing recipes) for bachelors like me, please…We guys eat gobi-matar almost 2-3 times a week because we don’t know how to use the veggies avlbl here (i’m in the u.s too) and although cauliflower is one of my favs, it’s getting kinda monotonous  .

    ~Ajay

Why dont you write the names of items used in your Recepies in Telugu, i dont mean in Telugu Script but the Telugu word in English Letter. Would be very useful for a guy like me who is very poor in English.

It is really amazing and hats off to you. You are such an inspiration. Must say you are very creative.Everything is detailed, well shot pictures. And lovely tips at the end of the recipe. Your blog was the first one which I came across when I was just browsing for some easy cooking. Actually I have been checking your blog since past many months, but have not written anything since. Today I was tempted to write a note of thanks to you ,for providing such good info.

Pls continue such good work and have fun while doing it.

    Regards,

    Hi,
I once had a delicious curry at a Tamilian Friend’s house which I have tried in vain to get hold of a recipe for. It was a curry made with boiled peanuts. My guess is her mom just improvised & used peanuts, coz I’ve never come across it since! Would anyone out there have a recipe you are willing to share?
